About The Author
Evelyn Lauda is a highly experienced therapist with over 25 years of practice, specialising in helping individuals navigate major life transitions. Born in Maine to an Irish father and an American mother, she pursued her passion for psychology at New York University before graduating from the University of Delaware. She later completed her clinical internship in New York State, where she eventually established her private practice in upstate New York.
As a widow who has faced profound personal loss, Evelyn brings deep empathy and insight to her work. Over the past decade, she has seen a growing number of female patients struggling with divorce and the challenge of rebuilding their lives. This inspired her to write a book that explores the emotional complexities of these experiences, particularly how early influences and self-esteem shape life-altering decisions.
Evelyn is also a devoted mother to two children—a son who works in finance and lives in Europe and a daughter currently completing her studies in the United States.
Known for her poised and professional demeanour, Evelyn presents herself with a refined and polished appearance. Standing at approximately 5’6″, she has a slender build, dark hair and wears glasses, embodying both confidence and warmth in her presence.
